He Is Risen – He Is Risen Indeed

After leaving church on this glorious Easter Sunday, I wanted to write these words so I would never forget this Easter. Too many times I experience the presence of God and I don’t share it – but today I feel compelled to share HIS presence with you. At the end of a powerful Easter service at my home church, Matthews United Methodist Church, I can tell you that He has risen, He has risen indeed.

That was the chant that we kept saying as a congregation throughout the 9:30 am service.  Along with the message that even though we live in a world filled with Good Fridays – full of doubt, despair, and hopelessness – we can chose to live a life filled with His presence and the joy of the feeling of this day. This day when Christ rose again. When the stone was rolled away.  Becuase His perfect love will not be overcome. These lyrics from Kari Jobe in the song Forever was a powerful way to feel His presence at the end of our worship service this Easter Sunday. Forever He is risen – He is alive – He is alive – indeed!

So as you move forward from this day of glory where Christ is risen indeed, remember that when the world throws at you the Good Fridays, you can choose to live your life full of Easter Sundays and filled with the redeeming love of Jesus Christ. – Happy Easter!
